Abstract

Introduction. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, entities in the transport service market have had an urgent need to find alternative international shipment solutions. Special attention needs to be paid to the development of transportation routes for cargo that used to be transported to the ports and airports of Ukraine before the war. Purpose. Nowadays the main task for logistics intermediaries is the formation of logistics chain projects taking into account possible foreign trade risks and ensuring the minimization of cost and delivery time. At the same time, enterprise specialists must take into account technical, technological and organizational limitations that infrastructure facilities might be subject to as well as how this will affect their capacity. Results. The authors develop projects for the supply of goods from China to Ukraine involving the services of seaports located in Poland, Latvia and Romania. For each of the routes, we determine the cost and time of delivery and consider the process of cargo transportation from the specified ports to the customer by road. The research also makes recommendations for the application of managerial decision-making strategies depending on the customer's needs. Conclusions. The development of alternative international shipment solutions currently presents quite a topical issue for both the Ukrainian market and foreign contractors. The priority lies in the planning of the logistics chain and all stages of transport process organization. In order to reduce the transportation expenditure account in the cost of selling goods to the final consumer, some measures are in place ensuring the optimization of all technical and economic indicators of delivery.
